These photos are all from a day spent on Governor’s Island in New York last September. We had camera issues on that trip, so most of our photos were stranded on a memory card unseen for the last six months. There’s something about seeing images for the first time that magically transports you across time and space. And appropriate, since this place was pretty magical and a bit of a time machine itself – full of little pockets from other times, giving the sense that it was just waking up from a long rest, maybe a little unevenly.
